Creative Direction (Advisory)

Best for
Clients seeking expert design judgment, clarity, and refinement, while managing execution independently.

This focused engagement is ideal for single rooms or smaller scopes where the goal is to improve functionality, establish a cohesive aesthetic, and make confident decisions—without entering a full-service design or procurement process.

Includes

  • One cohesive design concept and visual direction

  • Targeted furniture re-planning to improve flow and functionality

  • Guidance on key furniture pieces, lighting, window treatments, art, and décor

  • A concise set of specifications and recommendations

  • One design presentation and one round of revisions

Not included
Procurement, vendor coordination, project management, on-site styling, or custom / trade-only furnishings.

Design Development

Best for
Clients undertaking renovations or new builds who want strong design leadership with selective support during execution.

This tier includes full design development across agreed spaces, along with milestone-based coordination to ensure the design intent is carried through construction.

  • Full design development and space planning

  • Materials, finishes, lighting, and fixture selections

  • Design presentations and revisions

  • Coordination with contractor, architect, or drafter at key milestones

  • Limited construction-phase support

Design phase: 8–10 weeks; coordination continues through construction

Fixed or hybrid fee based on project scope

Full-Service Design

Best for
Clients seeking a highly supported, hands-off experience from concept through completion.

This comprehensive engagement covers the full design process, ongoing coordination, and design oversight through construction and installation.

  • Full design development across all spaces

  • Detailed specifications and schedules

  • Ongoing coordination with contractors and consultants

  • Construction-phase support and design oversight

Investment
Fixed fee aligned with project scale and complexity

Optional Furnishings & Styling

Available as a separate phase for Design Direction and Full-Service clients, or by invitation following a Creative Direction engagement.

Includes furniture layouts, sourcing, procurement, delivery coordination, and styling.

A Note On Scope

Each service tier is intentionally complete within itself. Additional services are added by moving to a higher tier or by introducing a clearly defined new phase, rather than expanding scope within an existing engagement.

How We Work Together

Every project begins with a shared understanding of goals, scope, and level of support. While each engagement is tailored, the overall process follows a clear and thoughtful structure. The steps below vary slightly depending on the service tier selected.

  • We begin with a discovery call to discuss your space, goals, timeline, and how you’d like to work together. This conversation helps determine the most appropriate service tier for your project and ensures alignment from the start.

  • Based on our discussion, I’ll recommend a service tier—Creative Direction, Design Direction, or Full-Service Design—and outline the scope, timeline, and investment. Once the agreement is signed, we schedule the project kickoff.

  • All projects begin with a focused discovery phase. This may include site visits, review of plans, lifestyle discussions, and creative exploration. From there, I develop a cohesive design direction tailored to your space and needs.

    • For Creative Direction, this phase focuses on concept development, layout refinement, and key design guidance.

    • For Design Development and Full Service, this phase expands into more detailed planning and coordination.

  • For projects requiring deeper involvement, this phase includes design development, specifications, and coordination with contractors or consultants at key milestones. The level of coordination depends on the selected service tier.

  • For full-service projects, I remain involved through execution, overseeing design intent through construction, installation, and final styling. For advisory-level engagements, this step may not apply, as clients manage execution independently.

Timeline

Timelines vary by service tier and project scope:

  • Creative Direction: approximately 3–4 weeks

  • Design Direction: approximately 8–10 weeks for design development

  • Full-Service Design: typically 6–12 months from concept to completion
